Real Cheek Implants Patient Results
Cheek implants can give your cheeks the long-lasting fullness you desire. Perhaps your cheeks never completely filled in and have always appeared thin, or maybe they have lost some of their volume over the years. At Keystone OMS in Hermitage, PA, you can enhance your appearance with a cheek augmentation designed just for you.
Who Is an Ideal Candidate for Cheek Implants?
You may benefit from cheek implants if you are dissatisfied with the appearance of your cheeks and feel they are sagging, too thin, or lacking sufficient volume. You should be at a stable weight before surgery, as weight loss or gain can affect the natural fullness of your cheeks and may alter the results of cheek augmentation.
The Cheek Implant Process of Our Hermitage Surgeon
Preparing to Receive Cheek Implants
Dr. Clemenza will review your medical history and consult with you regarding your goals for the cheek augmentation procedure and results. His understanding of facial anatomy as a maxillofacial surgeon allows him to plan and perform cheek implant placement to encourage desirable results. You may be able to see a 3D rendering of how the cheek implants may change the shape of your face and affect your overall appearance. You may also wish to start with temporary fillers to get a better idea of how you will look after cheek augmentation and then move to the permanent results of cheek implants.
The Cheek Implants Placement Surgery
You will be given IV sedation before surgery to keep you comfortable during cheek implant placement. A small incision will be made above your upper teeth to expose your cheekbone region. Dr. Clemenza will then precisely fit the silicone implant over your cheek area, providing increased fullness and a more appealing contour. Sutures or skin adhesives will be used to close the incision and hold the cheek implant in place.
Cheek Implant Recovery
A dressing will be placed after cheek implant placement to cover any incision and support your cheeks as they heal. You should apply ice to your cheeks and keep your head elevated for the first few days to help alleviate any swelling or discomfort. It can take up to two weeks for swelling to resolve and the results of your cheek augmentation to take shape.
